This Warranty Policy explains the coverage provided with our products, the customer’s responsibilities, and the procedure for submitting a warranty claim.
Please read this policy carefully before purchasing or installing any product.
Warranty Coverage
Pure Torque Motors provides warranty coverage on eligible low mileage engines and transmissions against defects in the major internal mechanical components under normal operating conditions.
Warranty coverage begins on the date the product is delivered to the customer.
The specific warranty period may vary depending on the product purchased and will be confirmed at the time of sale or on your invoice.
What Is Covered
Subject to the terms of this policy, the warranty generally covers defects involving the internal mechanical components of the purchased engine or transmission.
Examples include:
- Crankshaft
- Pistons
- Connecting rods
- Camshaft
- Cylinder block
- Cylinder heads (unless otherwise stated)
- Internal gears
- Valve train components
- Oil pump (internal failure only)
For transmissions, covered components generally include:
- Internal gears
- Shafts
- Bearings
- Valve body (where applicable)
- Internal clutch assemblies
- Torque converter (when included with the purchase)
Coverage applies only when the failure results from a defect in the supplied component and not from external causes.
Customer Responsibilities
To maintain warranty eligibility, customers must:
- Have the engine or transmission installed by a qualified automotive technician or repair facility.
- Verify compatibility before installation.
- Follow all manufacturer-recommended installation procedures.
- Replace required maintenance items before operating the vehicle.
- Use the correct fluids, lubricants, and filters recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
- Prime lubrication systems when applicable.
- Ensure proper cooling system operation before starting the engine.
Failure to follow accepted installation practices may void warranty coverage.
Recommended Replacement Items
To help maximize reliability, Pure Torque Motors strongly recommends replacing the following components during installation where applicable:
- Timing belt or timing chain components
- Water pump
- Thermostat
- Spark plugs
- Belts
- Hoses
- Engine seals and gaskets
- Oil filter
- Air filter
- Transmission filter
- Fresh engine oil
- Fresh transmission fluid
- Coolant
Replacing these service items reduces the risk of premature failure and helps protect your investment.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover failures or damage resulting from:
- Improper installation
- Incorrect vehicle application
- Overheating
- Lack of lubrication
- Contaminated fluids
- Neglected maintenance
- Racing or competitive driving
- Off-road abuse
- Vehicle modifications
- Towing beyond manufacturer recommendations
- Accidents or collisions
- Flood, fire, theft, or natural disasters
- Electrical system failures
- Fuel system contamination
Normal wear items such as seals, hoses, belts, sensors, spark plugs, filters, fluids, and external accessories are not covered unless specifically stated.
Labor Costs
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, this warranty covers the replacement or repair of the defective product only.
Labor charges, towing fees, diagnostic costs, rental vehicles, loss of income, hotel expenses, storage fees, and other incidental or consequential costs are not covered.
Warranty Claim Procedure
If you believe your product has developed a warranty-related issue:
- Stop operating the vehicle immediately if continued operation may cause further damage.
- Contact Pure Torque Motors as soon as possible.
- Provide:
- Order number
- Vehicle VIN
- Description of the issue
- Photographs or videos if requested
- Repair shop diagnosis (if applicable)
- Do not disassemble or repair the engine or transmission without prior authorization unless instructed by Pure Torque Motors.
Failure to follow the warranty claim procedure may delay or invalidate your claim.
Inspection Process
Pure Torque Motors reserves the right to inspect the product before approving any warranty claim.
Inspection may include:
- Review of installation records
- Diagnostic reports
- Photographs
- Oil or fluid inspection
- Physical inspection of returned components
Customers may be asked to return the product for evaluation before any replacement or warranty decision is made.
Warranty Resolution
If a valid warranty claim is approved, Pure Torque Motors may, at its sole discretion:
- Repair the product;
- Replace the product with a comparable unit; or
- Issue a refund where appropriate.
Replacement products may differ cosmetically but will provide comparable functionality.
Warranty Limitations
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
The warranty becomes void if:
- The identification markings have been removed or altered.
- The product has been modified.
- Unauthorized repairs have been performed.
- Damage resulted from misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance.
- Required installation procedures were not followed.
Limitation of Liability
Pure Torque Motors shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of vehicle use
- Business interruption
- Lost wages
- Rental vehicles
- Towing expenses
- Diagnostic charges
- Additional repair costs
Our liability shall never exceed the original purchase price of the product.
